The Treasure Map Platters have been very popular.  I made this one for a house warming gift for Stanley, Sheri and Issaic (my son and his family).  It was slab built from the speckled brown clay body because with the staining and high fire clear glaze, the clay body looks very much like the sandy beaches of the Caribbean.  The treasure chest was glazed with Rutile Blue high fire glaze, that breaks out nicely in the crevices.   The inside of the chest was glazed with Ashville blue.  I hope they will enjoy the platter at many nice parties that they host while in their new home!
